Protect/Lock Formulas

Locking and protecting cell formulas is important because it makes sure that no formulas within the cells are edited or accidentally deleted. There are a few steps in this process, first, you must make sure the cells are locked, then the next step is protecting the worksheet so that the formulas cannot be edited.

Locking cells makes sure that specific chosen cells do not have the ability to change. Protecting the worksheet means that every locked cell will not be changed, but unlocked cells will have the ability to change.
